Today, we are only 3 days away from our annual event that is the Summer Science Festival 2014. This is a free event, designed to provide students with an unrivalled independent overview of all the amazing opportunities in our region in science, engineering, technology & maths (STEM) related careers. The Festival, which has been taking place for 17 years, is a unique celebration of the breadth of science, engineering and innovation going on regionally.
Students will visit the Future Working World Area in which around 40 different companies, institutes, universities and other STEM employers have hands-on exhibits which are manned by working scientists and engineers - a great opportunity to ask them what they do all day, when skills they need and what the career opportunities are.
